Which billing term should I choose?
Short answerYou pay per 1, 6, 12 or 24 months, and you choose that in the first step of the order form. The longer the term, the lower the price per month; each card shows the price for the first term, what it costs after that, and how much you save.
Pick your term
The first step of the order form, "1 How long", has four cards: 1, 6, 12 and 24 months. The one with a green border is selected.

Lines on the order form and what they mean

What renews
The term renews by itself at the end, for the same length, until you cancel. A discount on your first payment is only on the first payment; the line under "Charged today" shows the amount that comes after it.
You can cancel from your dashboard. Do it at least 3 days before the renewal date and nothing more is charged.
Which one to take
New to hosting, or trying something out? One month keeps you flexible. Sure the server will run for a year or longer? A longer term costs less per month, and the order form shows exactly how much.
How the saving is worked out
Each term card shows the monthly price for that term next to the monthly price on a single month, crossed out, and under it how much less you pay over the whole term. On the Starter Performance plan, for example, the card for 24 months read "save 12%" and "€48 less over 24 months" when we checked the order form. The percentage differs per plan, so read it on the card of the plan you are ordering.
Discounts that stack with the term
The saving for a longer term is part of the price. Offers on top of it each get their own line in the summary: a welcome discount on your first payment, a free upgrade that runs for a limited time, a sale on a size that is being retired, or a discount code you typed. The summary adds them up in "Charged today".
Changing the term later
The term is set per subscription. To go from monthly to a longer term, or back, contact us with the server name and the term you want, and we arrange the change with you.
Questions people also ask
Can I get a refund for the rest of a long term?
No. Our terms do not give refunds for a term that has started. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and the server keeps running until the paid term ends.
Is there a setup fee?
Each term card says it under the price: "No setup fee", or the setup amount if there is one.
Is a longer term locked in if the server does not work out?
The paid term is not refunded, so a long term is only cheaper if you use it. Unsure? Start on one month, and move to a longer term once the server has found its players.
Does the price go up when the term renews?
The renewal line under "Charged today" shows what the next period costs. First payment discounts are not repeated, so that amount can be higher than today's; the line tells you exactly how much.
