Ultimate Plan

Ultimate is the first size on this ladder that is not meant for a single server. The memory is enough for several worlds side by side, or a network with a lobby and two or three servers behind it. It is a step past what an ordinary community needs, and the first thing a growing one runs into.

Forty-eight gigabytes is a network, not a server

Ultimate carries 48 GB of memory, 12 vCPU and 250 GB NVMe. Almost nobody needs this for one world. What people do need it for is several worlds behind a proxy: survival, skyblock, creative and a lobby, each with its own memory, on one machine you pay for once.

Splitting a server that way also splits the risk. A lobby that crashes does not take the survival world with it, and restarting one of the four costs the players on that one only.

Events and player peaks

The other reason people take this size is a peak: a launch evening, a modded event, a hundred people who all join within ten minutes. Memory is what absorbs that, and 48 GB absorbs a lot.

Peaks are also where the CPU line matters. If your event is redstone-heavy or mob-heavy, the Performance line on the same size is the upgrade that actually changes the numbers.

What it costs

Ultimate is EUR 49.99 per month, or EUR 39.99 per month if you commit to twenty-four months. Enterprise sits above it at 64 GB for the same idea with more room.

Running an event on this size

An event evening is the one moment a server is judged in public, and 48 GB is enough to survive it if the rest is prepared: a pre-generated map so nothing generates while people are watching, entity limits set before the crowd arrives, and a restart done in the hour before rather than during.

Announce the address with the port written out and the location named. Half of the people who cannot join an event are not fighting the server at all, they are fighting a typo.

Latency beats hardware at this scale

With a hundred people from several countries, the region you picked matters more than the plan. A player two thousand kilometres away feels every hop, and no amount of memory fixes distance.

That is worth deciding before an event rather than after: you choose the location before you pay, and moving a world between regions is a job rather than a switch.

The cost per player, honestly

At EUR 39.99 per month on the long term, a hundred regulars is a few cents each. That is the argument for this size when a community pays for itself through a shop or a Patreon, and it is worth doing the sum before you split the world across two cheaper plans.

Two smaller servers cost more than one larger one here, and they double the work of keeping both alive.

When one plan should become a network

The signal is not lag, it is calendars. When two groups want the server for different things on the same evening, a proxy with separate worlds solves what memory cannot.

48 GB holds four servers comfortably. Past that you are dividing rather than growing, and Enterprise at 64 GB is the plan that gives every instance its own room again.

What an evening on 48 GB looks like

Two hundred people over four instances, a map render finishing in the background, and a database answering every shop transaction on the network. That is a normal Friday on this plan, and the reason it works is that nothing is sharing memory with anything else.

When it does go wrong at this size, it is almost never the machine. It is one plugin on one instance, and the logs say so within a minute.

Before you order Ultimate

Check three things: where most of your players live, whether your heaviest instance is memory-bound or tick-bound, and who besides you can restart a server at eleven at night. The first decides the region, the second decides whether the Performance line is the better upgrade, and the third decides whether this plan is a good idea at all.

All three are cheaper to answer now than after the migration.

Weekends versus weekdays

Networks on 48 GB usually run at a quarter of their capacity from Monday to Thursday and hit the ceiling on Saturday. The plan is sized for Saturday, and the rest of the week is what makes upgrades and map renders painless: there is room to do heavy work while nobody is watching.

Use it. A render, a backup verification or a pack update on a Tuesday afternoon costs nothing, and the same job at eight on a Saturday costs you the evening.

The same step on the other editions

On Bedrock this rung is City at 24 GB. A Bedrock network of that size behaves differently: fewer plugins, more add-ons, and players who join from a console for twenty minutes at a time.

Crossplay at this size is a real decision rather than a feature, because a translated connection costs a little on every packet and two hundred people is where that becomes measurable.

How to tell whether Ultimate is enough

Look at the worst minute of the week rather than the average hour. If the busiest instance still has room to spare during that minute, the plan is right, and the rest of the week is irrelevant.

If it does not, the honest question is whether one more instance belongs on a second machine instead of this one.

Who does what on a network this size

One person owns the files and the plugin list. Two or three moderate in game and never touch the console. One runs the Discord and the announcements. On 48 GB that division matters more than any setting, because the machine will not be your problem and people will.

The panel supports it: separate logins, separate rights, and one log that shows who did what.

Things worth automating at this size

A nightly restart per instance, staggered so they do not all come back at once. A backup that verifies itself rather than one that only writes. A message in Discord when an instance goes down, because on a network this size a player will always notice before you do.

All three are configuration rather than software, and they cost nothing on 48 GB. What they buy is the difference between hearing about a problem from your staff and reading about it in a review.

The upgrade path from here

Up is Enterprise at 64 GB, which is the same idea with more room per instance. Sideways is the Performance line at this same size, which changes the cores rather than the memory and is the right answer when your problem is tick time.

Down is rarer but happens: a network that consolidated into two instances instead of five usually finds that Premium was enough all along.

Ultimate has 24 GB more memory than Premium, for €16.00 more a month on the twenty-four month term. If this gets tight, Enterprise is the next step up: 16 GB more for €28.00 more a month.
