Account & login

Everything about getting into your account and keeping it yours: the password, the email address it is tied to, and the second step at login that stops somebody who guessed your password.

Your account is the key to every server you run with us, to your invoices and to the people you gave access. That is why the steps below never go through a support agent: nobody here will ever ask you for a password or a login code, and none of these articles needs one from you.

Account & login articles

Three things that keep an account safe

A password you use nowhere else, a second step at login, and an email inbox that is itself protected. The last one is the one people forget: whoever reads your mail can reset your password, so the inbox deserves its own strong password and two factor sign in as well.

Signing in with Google moves the password part to your Google account. That is a good choice if your Google account already has a second step, and you can still turn on our own code on top of it.

When you share a server with others

Give the people who help you their own login through the Staff tab instead of your account details. Your account then stays the only one that can touch billing and staff, and you can take someone off without changing a single password.

Delivery: most servers are handed over instantly and run within seconds of payment, the rest follow within 60 minutes during the day and within 12 hours at night.
