Prominence II Server Hosting

Prominence II: Hasturian Era tells its story as an RPG on Fabric 1.20.1, set in the Kingdom of Vaaz, with a talent tree, classes and bosses to work toward. ElocinDev's pack has passed twelve million downloads, and on a server it runs lighter than its size suggests, thanks to Fabric.

What Prominence II Is

The Prominence II modpack logo
Prominence II by ElocinDev: Minecraft 1.20.1 on Fabric, 443 mods in the newest release.

The pack has 443 mods, and 84 of them only run on players' computers, more than in any other pack we counted. The rest builds an RPG: Spell Engine with its Wizards, Paladins, Rogues and Archers classes, Better Combat for weapon handling, Pufferfish's Skills for the talent tree and a quest line through FTB Quests. Bosses of Mass Destruction, When Dungeons Arise and the YUNG's series supply dungeons and fights.

Regions Unexplored reshapes the overworld and Better End the End. Create is included for players who want machines alongside the adventure, and Open Parties and Claims handles land claims and parties on a server.

How Much RAM a Prominence II Server Needs

Fabric keeps the base load low, and Lithium, ModernFix and FerriteCore are in the pack to help. With 359 mods on the server, a group of three is fine on 7 GB, and nine or more need 12 GB.

The load follows fights and exploring. Spell effects, boss arenas and freshly generated dungeons all land on the server at the same moment when a group pushes into new land, so the gap between a quiet evening and a busy one is wider here than in a tech pack. Chunky is part of the pack for pregenerating the world before you open.

The Server Pack and the Newest Release

Prominence II's makers put out a server pack with nearly every release, and our installer uses it when it is there, configs included. The newest release, 4.1.1 from 24 September 2026, did not have one yet when we counted, while 4.1.0 and every release before it did.

That leaves two ways to go. Pick 4.1.0 in the installer and get the server pack with everything set, then update once a server pack for 4.1.1 appears; or install 4.1.1 now and upload the config folder from your own copy of the pack in the file manager. Either way, every player has to be on the same version as the server.

Setting Up Prominence II on Our Panel

  1. Back up what is there now

If the server already holds a world, make a backup on the Backups tab. The installer moves an old mods folder aside under a dated name instead of deleting it. A server on Paper or vanilla goes to Fabric on the Settings tab first, because the Mods tab only shows on a server with a mod loader.

  2. Search for Prominence II on the Mods tab

Type the name and pick the Prominence II entry from CurseForge.

  3. Choose version 4.1.1, or the one your group runs

Take the exact version your players installed. Two releases can differ by a few mods, and a player whose list does not match the server's is turned away at the door.

  4. Install, then copy the config folder

This release has no server pack, so the installer places the 359 server side mods and sets Fabric 0.19.3 for Minecraft 1.20.1 on Java 17. The configs do not come along: upload the config folder from your own install in the file manager before the first start.

  5. Start it and wait for Done

The first start loads 359 mods and builds the spawn area, which takes a few minutes. When the console prints Done, players join with the address from the panel.

Questions About Prominence II Servers

How much RAM does Prominence II need?

7 GB covers up to three players, 9 GB a group of four to eight, and 12 GB anything bigger. Boss fights with several players and lots of spell effects are the busiest moments.

Why does the installer say the configs do not come along?

Because the release you picked has no server pack. The installer then places every server side mod but cannot place the pack's settings. Choose a release that has a server pack, such as 4.1.0, or upload the config folder from your own install.

Is Prominence II on Forge or Fabric?

Fabric, on Minecraft 1.20.1 with Fabric Loader 0.19.3. Forge mods from other RPG packs do not work in it, and the panel switches the server to Fabric when it installs.

Does Prominence II work for a group?

Yes. Classes, parties and claims are all built for multiplayer, and Open Parties and Claims lets a group share progress while keeping others out of their land.
