Craft to Exile 2 Server Hosting

Craft to Exile 2 is Minecraft played like Path of Exile or Diablo: gear with random stats, a passive tree, maps to run and uber bosses at the end. Mahjerion built it on Forge 1.20.1 around Mine and Slash, and it is made for co-op.

What Craft to Exile 2 Is

The Craft to Exile 2 modpack logo
Craft to Exile 2 by Mahjerion: Minecraft 1.20.1 on Forge, 397 mods in the newest release.

The pack has 397 mods, 62 of them for players only. Mine and Slash is the heart of it, with its stats, affixes and spell system, backed by Library of Exile and Dungeon Realm for map dungeons. Better Combat handles weapon movement, and bosses come from Mowzie's Mobs, Bosses of Mass Destruction and Remnant Bosses.

The world around it is made to explore: Terralith and Oh The Biomes We've Gone for landscapes, When Dungeons Arise and the YUNG's series for structures, and the Twilight Forest as a destination. Vivecraft is included too, so the pack can be played in VR.

How Much RAM a Craft to Exile 2 Server Needs

Start at 7 GB for a few players, go to 9 GB once four to eight play, and to 12 GB for a larger crowd. Mine and Slash does a lot of arithmetic per hit, per creature and per item, and a map run with a full group means many of each at once.

Loot is the other cost. Every drop is an item with rolled stats, and a busy map leaves plenty on the floor. Pick up what matters and let the rest despawn, because a floor full of items is work for the server until it is gone.

Maps on a Shared Server

Maps in Craft to Exile 2 open their dungeons through Dungeon Realm, and every one of them is fresh ground for the server to build. A group that runs maps together, one at a time, is easier on the server than four players each running their own.

Waystones are in the pack, so players can meet up quickly between runs, and FTB Quests guides newer players through the systems, which helps when not everyone in the group has played Path of Exile before.

Setting Up Craft to Exile 2 on Our Panel

  1. Back up what is there now

If the server already holds a world, make a backup on the Backups tab. The installer moves an old mods folder aside under a dated name instead of deleting it. A server on Paper or vanilla goes to Forge on the Settings tab first, because the Mods tab only shows on a server with a mod loader.

  2. Search for Craft to Exile 2 on the Mods tab

Type the name and pick the Craft to Exile 2 entry from CurseForge.

  3. Choose version 2.1.4, or the one your group runs

Take the exact version your players installed. Two releases can differ by a few mods, and a player whose list does not match the server's is turned away at the door.

  4. Install it in one go

The machine fetches the pack itself and switches the server to Forge 47.4.23 for Minecraft 1.20.1 on Java 17. The server pack the makers put out carries the configs, so the server starts with the same settings your players have.

  5. Start it and wait for Done

The first start loads 335 mods and builds the spawn area, which takes a few minutes. When the console prints Done, players join with the address from the panel.

Questions About Craft to Exile 2 Servers

How much RAM does a Craft to Exile 2 server need?

A small group runs on 7 GB, four to eight players want 9 GB, and sixteen are comfortable with 12 GB. Several players running separate maps at the same time is what pushes it up.

Can we play Craft to Exile 2 in co-op?

Yes, it was designed for it. Maps and uber bosses are made to be taken on as a group, and a server keeps the world available whenever the group wants to play.

Does Craft to Exile 2 have a server pack?

Yes: 2.1.4 has a server pack, and our installer puts it on the machine unchanged, so Mine and Slash's settings match your players'. Forge 47.4.23 is set at the same time.

Can VR players join a Craft to Exile 2 server?

The pack includes Vivecraft, so players in VR can join the same server as players on a screen, as long as everyone runs the same pack version.
