What Cisco's RPG Is

The Cisco's Fantasy Medieval RPG modpack logo
Cisco's Fantasy Medieval RPG by franciscogolden: Minecraft 1.19.2 on Forge, 288 mods in the newest release.

The Ultimate edition has 288 mods, 13 of them for players only. Better Combat and Simply Swords handle fighting, Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks and Ars Nouveau the magic, and Origins with its classes lets each player choose what kind of hero they are. The Aether, Blue Skies and the Twilight Forest add worlds to reach, and L_Ender's Cataclysm, Mowzie's Mobs and Alex's Mobs fill them.

Ultimate also carries MineColonies, Quark, Supplementaries and a set of extra structure mods that Lite leaves out. Lite, with 235 mods, keeps the RPG core and puts performance first. The pack's own content comes from Cisco's mods, which both editions share.

How Much RAM a Cisco's RPG Server Needs

The table is for Ultimate, and Lite fits the same rows with room to spare. Most of the load comes from the adventure itself: bosses, dungeons from When Dungeons Arise and the YUNG's series, and the new land a group opens up.

MineColonies in Ultimate is the part that grows over time. A colony is a small town of citizens, each walking, working and thinking, and a server with several colonies should look one row further down.

A Server Pack With a Short Name

Both editions come with a server pack from the maker, named with the short CARPG and Serv, for example CARPG Ultimate V8E Serv. Our installer recognises that name and unpacks it on the machine, configs included, so the server matches what your players installed.

Choose the edition with care. Ultimate and Lite are separate packs, and a world started on one does not carry over to the other. Lite suits a group where not everyone has a strong computer, and the server gets a little lighter too.

Setting Up Cisco's RPG on Our Panel

  1. Back up what is there now

If the server already holds a world, make a backup on the Backups tab. The installer moves an old mods folder aside under a dated name instead of deleting it. A server on Paper or vanilla goes to Forge on the Settings tab first, because the Mods tab only shows on a server with a mod loader.

  2. Search for Cisco's RPG on the Mods tab

Type the name and pick the Cisco's Fantasy Medieval RPG [Ultimate] entry from CurseForge. Cisco's Fantasy Medieval RPG [Lite] is listed next to it as a separate pack, so check the name before you click.

  3. Choose version V8E, or the one your group runs

Take the exact version your players installed. Two releases can differ by a few mods, and a player whose list does not match the server's is turned away at the door.

  4. Install it in one go

The machine fetches the pack itself and switches the server to Forge 43.5.1 for Minecraft 1.19.2 on Java 17. The server pack the makers put out carries the configs, so the server starts with the same settings your players have.

  5. Start it and wait for Done

The first start loads 275 mods and builds the spawn area, which takes a few minutes. When the console prints Done, players join with the address from the panel.

Questions About Cisco's RPG Servers

Ultimate or Lite, which should my server run?

The one your players can run. Ultimate has 288 mods including MineColonies and more structures; Lite has 235 and runs better on modest computers. Everyone on a server has to use the same edition and the same version.

How much RAM does Cisco's Fantasy Medieval RPG need?

Up to three players: 6 GB. Four to eight: 8 GB. Nine or more: 11 GB, all for Ultimate. Lite asks a little less, and colonies are what push Ultimate toward the larger rows.

Does Cisco's Fantasy Medieval RPG have a server pack?

Yes. Both editions ship one with their releases, named with CARPG and Serv, and our installer uses it so the configs arrive with the mods.

Which Java does it need?

Minecraft 1.19.2 runs on Java 17, set by the panel as part of the install, together with Forge 43.5.1 for Ultimate.
