What Monifactory Is

The pack has 220 mods, 30 of them for players only. GregTech CEu Modern sets the route with its voltage tiers and multiblocks, and the rest of the pack is chosen to fit around it: Applied Energistics 2 with ExtendedAE for storage and autocrafting, Ender IO, Thermal, LaserIO, Solar Flux Reborn, and Hostile Neural Networks for mob drops without a mob farm.

Monifactory's own content comes from its Moni Labs mod, and Extended Crafting supplies the large recipes of the late game. A quest book tracks the whole route, which is long by design.

How Much RAM a Monifactory Server Needs

6 GB covers up to three players, 8 GB a group of four to eight, and 12 GB anything bigger. The mod list is short for a pack this deep, so the start is light. The late game is not: GregTech multiblocks, large AE2 networks with autocrafting and processing lines running day and night all add up.

Hostile Neural Networks helps, since it turns mob farming into a machine instead of a crowd of creatures. What grows is the factory itself, and the Performance line is worth considering once your processing lines fill a large base.

Beta Updates and a Long Factory

Monifactory is still in beta, and 0.13.8 from 27 August 2026 is the release we counted. Updates can rework parts of the route, so back up before every one, and let the group agree before the server moves to a new version.

Because the pack is so long, many groups keep one world for months. FTB Chunks lets teams claim and keep their factory loaded, and FTB Backups is in the pack next to our nightly backups.

Setting Up Monifactory on Our Panel

1. Back up what is there now

   If the server already holds a world, make a backup on the Backups tab. The installer moves an old mods folder aside under a dated name instead of deleting it. A server on Paper or vanilla goes to Forge on the Settings tab first, because the Mods tab only shows on a server with a mod loader.

2. Search for Monifactory on the Mods tab

   Type the name and pick the Monifactory entry from CurseForge.

3. Choose version 0.13.8, or the one your group runs

   Take the exact version your players installed. Two releases can differ by a few mods, and a player whose list does not match the server's is turned away at the door.

4. Install it in one go

   The machine fetches the pack itself and switches the server to Forge 47.4.13 for Minecraft 1.20.1 on Java 17. The server pack the makers put out carries the configs, so the server starts with the same settings your players have.

5. Start it and wait for Done

   The first start loads 190 mods and builds the spawn area, which takes a few minutes. When the console prints Done, players join with the address from the panel.
