Terms for Server Websites

1. The short version

Every Astroworld Hosting server can have a website of its own, built in the panel next to the server. These are the terms for that website. They sit on top of the Terms of Service and the Acceptable Use Policy, which keep applying. Before you build a page you accept these five points:

• I am the publisher of this page. What goes on it is mine, and I am responsible for it.
• I will not put anything on it that breaks the law, belongs to somebody else, or pretends to be somebody else.
• Astroworld hosts the page and does not check it beforehand.
• Astroworld can take the page offline at any moment, and does so as soon as a report turns out to be right.
• If somebody else holds Astroworld liable for what I put on the page, that claim is mine to carry.

2. Who publishes this page

You do. Astroworld gives you a place to put a page for your Minecraft server and the tools to build it, and that is where our part ends. Every word, every picture and every link on your page is put there by you, and towards the rest of the world you are the publisher of it.

We do not read your page before it goes online. There is no editor and no approval step. That is what makes it your page instead of ours, and it is also why the responsibility sits with you and cannot sit with us.

3. What may not go on it

Nothing that is against the law where you live or where we host, which is the Netherlands. Nothing that belongs to somebody else, unless you are allowed to use it: no artwork, logos, screenshots, music or texts that are not yours to publish.

Nothing that pretends to be a different server, a different company or a different person, and nothing that takes money or account details under a false name. No hate, no threats, no harassment, no sexual content, and nothing aimed at children that would not belong in front of children.

No page that exists to point somewhere else: no link farms, no redirect pages, no pages built to move a search result rather than to tell your players something.

4. Your server address and your players

The address and the player numbers on your page come from the server you rent from us, and they are shown as they are. If your server is offline, the page says so. You cannot switch that off, because a page that claims a dead server is online is a page that misleads the people you built it for.

If you ask your players for anything on your page, an account, a Discord, a vote or a payment, you are the one asking. Handle their data yourself and say what you do with it.

5. Reports and taking a page offline

Every page carries a report link that anyone can use, without an account. We read what comes in. If a report turns out to be right, the page goes offline, and it stays offline until whatever was wrong is gone.

We can also take a page offline without a report, if we see something ourselves or if we are told to by a party we have to listen to. We are not obliged to warn you first, although we will tell you afterwards and say why.

A page that is offline this way cannot be put back online by publishing it again. That is deliberate. Get in touch through the panel next to your server.

6. What we do not promise

We do not promise that your page is always reachable, that it looks the same in every browser, or that anything you put on it will still be there after a mistake on your side. Make your own copy of anything you would not want to write twice.

This is part of your hosting and not a separate paid product. If it stops working, the thing you can ask of us is that we try to fix it, and not more than that.

7. If somebody holds us liable

If a third party comes to us over something on your page, a rights holder, a player, an authority, then the claim is about your content and it is yours to carry. You cover us for what it costs us, including the work of answering it.

This does not apply to something we did ourselves. If the problem is in our software or in how we host, that is our problem and it stays our problem.

8. Ending it

You can take your page offline whenever you want, from the same screen where you built it. When your server with us ends, your page ends with it.

We can stop offering this, or change how it works, and we will say so beforehand where we can. Your page going away is never a reason for us to keep hosting content we should not be hosting.

9. Which version applies

The version you accepted is stored with your site, together with the moment you accepted it. If we change these terms, you are asked to accept the new version before you save or publish anything else. Your page stays online while that happens; we do not take a working page down over our own paperwork.
